On the method’s page of the Add / Edit screen there is a button next to the beginning accumulated depreciation field that allows you to calculate the beginning accumulated depreciation. This is extremely handy when entering older assets and this information is not available or if you just want to verify that the beginning accumulated depreciation is correct.
In V24, the calculated amount was displayed with the option of saving it to the beginning accumulated depreciation field; however, in V25, in addition to displaying the calculated amount, as show below, there is a Details button that allows you to see the calculation by-year.
